One of the things I have learned about cooking is that having good quality products to cook with is a must! I take that from my spices to my veggies. I always make sure my items are natural or organic. I never do like any extra chemicals in my stuff. That includes my meat products.
That is one of the reasons I love Perdue (sponsor) products! Perdue Farms is family owned and is the parent company of Perdue Foods and Perdue Agribusiness. Perdue Foods focus on continuing to improve food safety. They raise antibiotic free chicken, turkey and pork products. The chickens and turkeys are raised on local farms by family farmers. They are also cage free and are in temperature controlled houses to help protect them from predators. The hogs are raised by independent farmers in the midwest. But they all have one other thing in common: they are also fed all vegetarian diets with no animal by-products.
Simply Smart Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Breast Tenders! I have not had a chance to try these yet but I can't wait to find them! Until then I thought I would share with you one of my new favorite chicken recipes! This is a Grilled Honey Dijon Chicken and tastes great as a single dish or you can slice it up and place it on a salad! It is really easy to make!
- 4-6 boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1/4 cup of a dijon mustard- I used French's Dijon Mustard with Chardonnay (just check ingredients to make gluten free!)
- 1/4 cup (or less) of Honey (I used regular honey then added about a tbsp of Blackberry Honey from Kyvan)
Place chicken in a bowl and pour the mustard and honey on top and toss to coat evenly. In a separate smaller bowl (like one of those dipping bowls). Turn grill on and let heat to a medium heat (around 400 degrees). Place chicken on the grill. While it cooks for a few minutes in a smaller bowl mix part for part a small amount of mustard and honey. Use this to brush onto chicken each time you flip the chicken. Cook for about 20 minutes or until white in the middle and juices run clear!
I love simple dinners like this and having a simple meat makes it even better!
