Mountain Rose Herbs Review & #giveaway

I love organic seasonings. There is just something about it. To me they are more flavorful and the added bonus- NO CHEMICALS! There is just something about putting things into my body that contains chemicals meant to kill weeds or bugs. But how do you beat the cost of organic? You buy in Bulk!

Mountain Rose Herbs started back in 1987 by herbalist and educator Rosemary Gladstar. It was created to provide her herb students with the necessary supplies in California. When she moved to Vermont she decided to sell off the business. One was a retail herb shop and the other was a mail order herb company. The mail order portion was purchased by two students and that started the groundwork for Mountain Rose Herbs. Over the years it has grown and offers a wide variety of herbs, teas and more!

A glass bottle and grinder lid make this a convienent product!
Just look at those bright colorful!
One of their product lines is Epicurean Organics. Full of bold flavors and rich colors and aromas, this line is their gourmet seasoning blends, artisan salts, peppercorns, and fine oils. First let's look at the Peppercorns. All of the different types are completely free from irradiation treatment. They are also certified organic and Kosher Certified by Earth Kosher. They come in recycled glass containers and each one has a grinder top! The one I am currently using is their Rainbow Peppercorn. Look at how fun those colors are! The bottle is sealed so once that is removed you get this wonderful smell of the peppercorns. Using it on your eggs or other dishes add some fun colors to liven it up! My kids ask me all the time if they can have the "Rainbow Pepper".

Another product in this line they have is the Seasoning Salt. Again once you open a wonderful aroma of the different spices perfectly blended for just about anything! We used this on our popcorn one night and it gave a very unique full flavor. It is not your typical Seasoning Salt. It contains Sea Salt, Garlic Onion, Celery Seed, Mustard Seed, Paprika and black pepper, as well as a few other spices and herbs.
Last but not least- I was able to try out the All Purpose Seasoning Blend. Filled with Basil, Garlic, Celery Seed, Onion, Oregano, Parsley, Pepper and more this really can be a great addition to any dish. One suggested use I have is instead of hunting for the Garlic and all the other spices when making Spaghetti- simply add this until you get the flavor you want! The aroma of these spices blended together just fills the air and leaves you hungry! Just look how green that looks! The flavor was amazing. I also tried some on a roasted chicken with Balsamic Vinaigrette. But my favorite was using it in the breading for my Country Fried Steak! The flavor it brought to the dish was just what I was looking for when I was just throwing it together. This is now my go to spice blend!
